Adult Training Program
The Adult Training Program is designed to provide opportunities for Girl Scout adults to gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to perform their volunteer jobs with competence and satisfaction.
Participation in each training course is open to all registered Girl Scout adults and girls ages 15 – 17.
Girl Scouts of Heritage Trails Council is committed to providing learning opportunities for all adults, including those who may have special needs or disabilities. If you are interested in participating in a course and have questions about specific accommodations, please contact the council Adult Development Manager.
Girl Scouts of Heritage Trails Council will provide you with a training record card at your first training. Please bring it with you to all other training sessions and ask the trainer to sign it upon completion of the course. It is your personal record of all training you take and may be needed to document training taken for the Leadership Development Pin or as experience for future employment.

PLEASE NOTE: Our need for new, enthusiastic Council Trainers is now very great! We have been fortunate to have had the same wonderful, dedicated, but small group of Trainers, who for many years have willingly facilitated classes across our Council. But now, due to other issues taking precedent in their lives, some of our long-time Trainers have found that they have to give up training. This brings our number of volunteer Trainers who facilitate the Basic Leader Training classes down to seven (7)!! This is not enough to adequately serve all of our communities across the Council. We really need you!
If you are interested in becoming a Trainer, please contact the Adult Development Manager at 419-522-0391 or dmenzel@girlscoutsht.org.
